Lucia

Was a Christian Virgin from Syracuse, a martyr, properably during the pursuit by Diocletianus. Lucia is a part of the roman mass canon and is celebrated December 13. The legend tells us about how Lucias despised fiancé in vain tried to take her to a whorehouse, they tried to get her burnt on a stake, but it didn’t hurt her and that finally put a sword into her neck. The connection to the word lux (Latin for light) is properably the reason why they have invoked her when there were eye diseases. The reproduction of her is with two eyes on a plate. 

The celebration of Lucia are a big extension of the unique Swedish traditions around Lucia and it contains four components:
